Gospić – Reisgids Kroatië

The administrative capital of Lika-Senj County, situated in the broad Lika plain beneath the Velebit mountain range. Gospić is a clean, quiet Croatian town with strong ties to the mathematician and inventor Nikola Tesla, who was born in the nearby village of Smiljan — now a popular heritage museum. The town is an excellent base for exploring the magnificent Velebit nature park, Paklenica National Park, and the road to the Plitvice Lakes.
