Divided into three hamlets — Blato, Mala Duba and Porat — Živogošće is a small village on the southern Makarska Riviera with a sheltered pebble beach, direct views across to Hvar island and a Franciscan monastery founded in 1614 that gives the village a historical depth unusual for its size.
