A small inland Dalmatian town on the Cetina River, Trilj is a hub for outdoor adventure in the canyon-carved landscape between Split and Bosnia. The Cetina River here is ideal for rafting, kayaking, and fishing, with clear fast-flowing water passing through dramatic limestone gorges. The town holds a famous annual horse racing and equestrian festival (Sinjska Alka is nearby Sinj, and Trilj is its closest neighbour), and the surrounding Zagora hills preserve traditional Dalmatian village life, stone farmhouses, and agrotourism farms far from the coastal crowds.
