The town sits near the source of the Zrmanja River — one of Croatia's most beautiful canyon rivers — and is a starting point for rafting, kayaking, and canyon hiking in the Zrmanja Gorge, as well as a natural transit point between Zadar on the coast and Plitvice Lakes in the north.
