INmusic Festival Zagreb 2026 – Croatia's Biggest Rock Festival | Jarun Lake

INmusic Festival 2026 at Jarun Lake island, Zagreb — Croatia's premier open-air rock festival, 18th edition. Gorillaz, Jack White, Kings of Leon headlining. June 22–24.

INmusic Festival is Croatia's most acclaimed rock and alternative music festival — a three-day event held on a small island in Zagreb's Jarun Lake that has established itself as one of Central Europe's most respected open-air festivals since its founding in 2006. The 2026 edition is the 18th, and the festival has managed to grow in international stature year on year while maintaining an accessible ticket price, a strong environmental ethos, and the distinctively relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that has made it a beloved annual ritual for Croatian music lovers and a compelling discovery for international visitors.

The Setting: Jarun Lake

Jarun Lake — a complex of connected artificial lakes on Zagreb's southwest edge, created from a former Sava river channel in the 1980s — is one of the most pleasant urban recreational areas in Southeast Europe, and the INmusic island is its centrepiece. The festival stages are positioned to use the water as a natural backdrop and buffer, and the lake's wide open sky allows sound to carry beautifully without the mud, dust, and crowding that afflict many terrestrial festival sites. Swimming is permitted in the lake before and after the festival, and the surrounding park and beach areas fill with festival-goers relaxing between shows.

The Headliners & Programme

INmusic's musical range is broad — the festival programmes across rock, alternative, indie, grunge, and electronic rock, with a consistent emphasis on booking acts that are at a peak moment in their career trajectory. Past headliners include The Prodigy, The National, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, Liam Gallagher, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and David Bowie (2016). The 2026 edition features Gorillaz, Jack White, and Kings of Leon on the main stage — a genuinely world-class billing for a festival in this part of Europe.

Zagreb as a Festival City

Zagreb is one of Central Europe's great underrated cities — its baroque Upper Town (Gornji Grad), Art Nouveau Lower Town, thriving café and restaurant scene, world-class museums, and lively night culture make it a destination in its own right. INmusic gives international visitors an excellent reason to finally visit, and the city's comfortable transport infrastructure (good tram system, walkable centre, abundant accommodation) makes the festival experience easy to navigate. A pre or post-festival day in Zagreb exploring the Dolac market, the Museum of Broken Relationships, or the Lotrščak Tower is rewarding. Cest is d'Best street arts festival earlier in June is another Zagreb event worth planning around.

Dates 2026: June 22–24, Jarun Lake Island, Zagreb.

Tickets: Day tickets from €65; 3-day festival pass from €145. Camping packages available (Jarun campsite adjacent). Book via the official website — popular editions sell out months in advance.

Getting There: Zagreb is Croatia's capital, served by Zagreb Airport with connections to most European cities. From the airport to the city centre: shuttle bus or taxi (~30 min). Jarun Lake is 5km southwest of the centre — tram lines 17 and 5, then a short walk, or taxi.

Tips: Book accommodation in Zagreb's city centre and take the tram to Jarun each day. The festival has an excellent food village. Swimming in the lake is a classic pre-show tradition. Arrive early on the first day to explore the full site.
