Trilj is one of the most popular travel destinations in Croatia. This guide shows typical travel costs including accommodation, food, transport and activities. A small inland Dalmatian town on the Cetina River, Trilj is a hub for outdoor adventure in the canyon-carved landscape between Split and Bosnia. The Cetina River here is ideal for rafting, kayaking, and fishing, with clear fast-flowing water passing through dramatic limestone gorges. The town holds a famous annual horse racing and equestrian festival (Sinjska Alka is nearby Sinj, and Trilj is its closest neighbour), and the surrounding Zagora hills preserve traditional Dalmatian village life, stone farmhouses, and agrotourism farms far from the coastal crowds. The best months to visit Trilj are April, May, June, September, October. In peak season (July–August) prices are at their highest and accommodation books up weeks in advance. Croatia adopted the Euro (EUR) on 1 January 2023. All prices on this page are in Euros and reflect 2025/2026 on-the-ground market rates.
